About Us

donor-fostered growth

For more than a decade, private donors have financially supported family planning and sexual and reproductive health services at Teton County Health Department. The Sexual & Reproductive Health Services Clinic is widely known as a reliably accessible place where our community members can seek the support they need, knowing that they will receive confidential, high-quality services from skilled practitioners who truly care for them. Until 2025, the Clinic participated as government entity through Teton County in the Old Bill's Fun Run sponsored by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, garnering nearly $500,000 in contributions that helped Teton County Family Planning (now Sexual & Reproductive Health Services) stay true to its mission.

a new nonprofit

As of January 1, 2025, a new nonprofit officially launched to address public and community health needs not covered by government funding. Teton County Foundation for Public Health became the entity, originally suggested by donors, that now manages and distributes gifted monies. As in the past, the Sexual & Reproductive Health Services Clinic is the primary beneficiary of Old Bill's funds.

evolving

Going forward, this nonprofit foundation, abbreviated as TCFPH, will have the ability to seek a variety of funding opportunities to support an exceptional public health system in the community along the entire age continuum. Accessibility to services has become increasingly difficult for everyone, especially those who live in rural areas like Teton County.

what's next

The initial start-up goal for TCFPH's initial start-up goal was high:  $100,000 during our first year of operation to continue the essential efforts of the Sexual & Reproductive Health Services team at the Health Department. In fact, TCFPH received nearly $140,000 from generous donors through the 2025 Old Bill's Fun Run. Additional funds were received outside of the Old Bill's Giving Season.

TCFPH was able to fund a grant submitted by the SRHS Clinic at the Health Department to cover Nurse Practitioner salaries through the fiscal year. Funds were invested, and more contributions have been received. TCFPH has received inquiries about how long-term support can be designed as the Foundation moves forward to consider how financial support can be provided for other services, programs, and projects that help to optimize health in the Teton County community.
